One of the groups most devastated was non-Jewish Polish civilians. In total, aside from enemies killed in battle, the Nazis murdered approximately 11 million people. However, the Holocaust does not represent the full extent of Nazi genocide. When we think of the Nazis' crimes against humanity, the most obvious example is the horrific, systematic murder of about 6 million Jews across Europe.
